LA MAISON
DE FATI

The noma is a sickness which kills 600 000 young children affected by malnutrition, leaving in poverty and lack of hygiene. It destroys the face up to death. The child die under fortnight. 
From the greek nomein, which means 'devour', this disease can be easily healed, in only fifteen days. But the children stay disfigured for life and rejected by the society.

 

The organization La Maison de Fati heals the children and gives them a new face with the help of french surgeons who come and operate them in Africa, Burkina Faso.
